Day 3

Woke up at 6:30 and got ready to go to the Academy of Science. I had read that every third Wednesday is free day. So I thought it would be a great outing on a budget... FREE. So I was expecting a crowd and we went early to avoid waiting in line. AAH HA HA! That's a joke. Check this picture out. Mind you I took it at 1:30 in the afternoon but it tells the story well.

See the green sign by the front door. That's the start of the line. Follow the line to the end of the stairs turn to your right and keep going till you reach the trees. SEE THE LINE. Well it goes for another mile beyond the trees. We were lucky to get in with the first round at 10:00. When we left the line was even longer and it was 2:00. I'm sure there were people that never even saw the steps let alone the academy. Word to the wise don't go on free day. Sometimes it's worth paying! We still had a good time and saw almost everything. The only thing we didn't see was the planetarium show. We had passes but by time we got them the only show left was at 4:00 and we were done with the whole place at two. Didn't feel like waiting two hours for the show. You couldn't leave and come back. So we found a couple that didn't get tickets and left.

We got back to the hotel at around 3:30. I wasn't feeling well. I thought I was just tired and tried to take a nap but I couldn't and I just got worse. When Mark came back he wanted us to go to dinner with Pat. By then I had a fever and just couldn't. Emily didn't want to go so he went on his own. Emily and I did room service. So nice when your not feeling well. I think I was just dehydrated because I woke up this morning feeling fine. We got up, went to breakfast and came home. I'm going out with Mary Anne and Wanda tonight. Dinner and just good girl time!
