One last post before we leave for Utah!

We went to Santa Cruz to spend the day with the Hawkins and Gipson's. Cameron's friend Andrew came with us. The plan for the day was meet at Sea Bright Beach. Have a bon fire and go to pizza. Well we arrived at 2:30 and the Hawkins were already there. Rob had a job and they were going to come a little later. When we got into town we were so happy to see that the sun was out and it was a gorgeous day. Then we got out of the car. Still a beautiful day but windy. Walked down to the beach...set up chairs which ended up flying all over the place. Cameron and Andrew carried down the wood we brought.

We tried to start a fire. After a struggle it finally started.

The fire was blazing but it was so windy we couldn't feel the warmth. Jessica bundled up as much as humanly possible. Can you say sand blasted!

At 5:00 we talked to Rob and Dusty and we decided to all head to their place in Boulder Creek. The wind was too much to bear. So we took a few group pics and were on our way.

When we arrived at Rob and Dusty's the girls were making snacks. Maya was pouring chips in a bowl and Emma was arranging onion rings on a baking pan. She arranged them in the shape of a flower and was so proud of it. I had to take a pic of that.

We hung out and visited with everyone. Watched the Sharks game. and then the girls decided to attack Cameron. It was so cute to see Maya and Emma try and take down Cameron. The giggling was the cutest!

Emily and Jessica were being typical teenage girls who really didn't want to be there. They ended up hanging out together and hiding downstairs. Oh well at least they kept each other company.
Near the end of the night Rob and the boys went outside and started a bon fire. I came out later. Can't have a fire with out gasoline! HEE HEE!

We had a great time visiting and catching up. It's been quite awhile since we hung out with the Gipson's and Hawkins. Hope to do it again soon!
Ok so this is the last blog until I return from vacation. I'm assuming I'll have alot to say when I get back. Not that I don't already over do it. But a week in Utah should have some great stories! Have a wonderful week!
