Don't get me wrong I love birthdays and my family. But February is a little
overwhelming and I'm always excited when the last week arrives because I only have a few birthdays in March verses 20 in February. It's hard to believe before I was in high school I was the only Feb. I knew.
I haven't written for awhile...Let's see.I already told you Emily had a birthday. The following week was Rian's 12Th birthday. Then Cameron turned "18" I can hardly believe it myself. He didn't want a party. So I surprised him and we took him to dinner. Sushi at Mangetsu... his favorite place. We invited his best friend Steve for dinner and then when we returned Trevor, Andrew, and Darren came over for cake. There would of been more but unfortunately the Senior banquet was that same evening and it was a school night. He said he was happy with what we did. We are leaving tomorrow to go to the cabin in Tahoe with 7 of his friend for the weekend for his true celebration. Should be fun. A few of my Friends had birthdays in between Emily and I. My birthday ended up being on a Friday so we went to my mothers and she made me a wonderful dinner. They invited my Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Donna. on our way up we picked up Rian. Richard already had plans. I really enjoyed the evening. The following day Richard came over and we all hung out. That evening Richard, Cameron, Mark, and I went to dinner then went back to Richards place and played guitar hero with the kids. On Sunday we all got up and went to Sutter Creeks for breakfast. All 8 of us. It was a great birthday weekend. I got my digital camera! YEAH! I took some great pictures of the weekend but screwed up when I was trying to download them for the first time. Needless to say I lost them. Should of read the directions first. Oh well. I learned so that wont happen again.
Now for the unfortunate news. Marks company isn't doing well... Like most out there with this economy. We took a 15% pay cut in November that didn't hurt to bad but still wasn't fun. Then last Thursday we found out he's taking another 25% cut starting this week and he has to take every Tuesday off. Ouch. That's 40% in one year. Mark is freaking out and rightfully so. I've been trying to easy his mind but how do you do that with the way the world is right now. We are just hoping he has a job in the next few months. Mark thinks they will go bankrupted by April. Hope for the best!
We are off to Tahoe tomorrow. Cameron and 6 of his buddies, Dennis and Mary Ann, Mark, Emily and I are leaving at 12:30 tomorrow. Richard and Rian and Richards new girl are coming in the evening. My parents are coming on Saturday. Looking forward to a great time in the snow. I'll post when I get back with the pics. Have a great weekend!
