It's that time of year!

I can't believe it's only 17 days till Christmas. I haven't even started shopping yet... Guess I better get busy. There is already so much going on. Tonight is Cameron's football banquet... the final fair well... I better bring tissues. I have two cookie parties to go to. one on Sunday and the other on the 17Th. I only have to bake for one. Saturday is the corvette clubs Christmas dinner, Then there's Marks Birthday on the 16Th the big 40. The kids and I will take him to dinner and then we are having a small dinner party with just a few close friends. It's a surprise so SHH! He didn't want a party. I was going to plan a bash but because he had surgery I don't think it would work so just a small dinner party. At least it will be celebrated. You know me I can't let a big one like this go by. I only invited a few people so if you are not on the list please don't be offended. There is no way I could invite everyone and keep it small enough so he doesn't hurt himself. There are just so many people we would of liked to invite. I'm so grateful we have so many friends and family. Thanks for all being there for us!

Marks surgery went well. He is recovering fast. The recovery time would of been even faster if he would of stayed down. You know how hard it is for him to just sit there... even when he's in pain. I had to finally get mad at him so he would just try a little. He's so bored he has been painting Christmas ornaments with me and the kids. It's actually nice to have him paint with us. This is the first time in 18 years. He is so proud of his painting skills. I'll have to take a picture today. He doesn't go back to work until the first of the year. If I don't find something for him to do he's going to go crazy not to mention drive me crazy. It will be better once he can get around with out hurting himself. should only be another week or two. He goes back to see the doctor in two weeks. The great news is he can eat everything so far and not get a stomach ache.

The kids and I went and got a Christmas tree yesterday. It was strange not having Mark help us. And I really didn't like buying it at Home Depot. I miss Apple Hill... cutting down the tree. Oh well we will have to go next year. Hopefully Cameron will be at a school close enough to go with us. We went with a 6 foot tree. SO sad... I usually get an 11 foot tree. It looks so small and there is no way I'll be able to get all my ornaments on it. We are going to decorate it either tonight or tomorrow. It all depends on how Mark feels after the banquet. Cameron put up the Christmas lights on the house for me. That was a big help! Emily and I decorated the inside and front door on Saturday. I'm almost done... just have a few little things to put up. I'm not going to put up my snowmen on the lawn this year. Too much work and I'm just not up for it with all that's going on right now. So a week of baking... get my Christmas cards out... finish my wedding order... and hopefully Start and finish my Christmas shopping. Mark will hopefully be bored enough to help!
