Life in general!

Mark and I celebrated our 18 year anniversary yesterday.
18 years who knew it would be this good after so many years.
My George I think we're going to make it. We decided not to
do gifts I personally wanted time not a gift. We went to Caps...
which is a restaurant here in Brentwood. Nice place. After it was
nice to come home and get in the hot tub with a glass of port
and just talk. We haven't talked like that for awhile. Life has
been busy and we haven't made it a priority. It's great the kids
are older and just leave us alone and let us connect.

The kids went back to school yesterday. Cameron really only got a
break from school not football. Emily didn't want to go back.
Cameron's team won their game Friday. The score was 33 to 6. Good
game. Cameron even had the ball thrown to him. He ran it 8 yards!
Emily is in the process of figuring out what type of after school
program she wants to join. She says she's thinking about taking
art lessons or guitar lessons. I'll let you know when she figures it out!

This past week has been a great week. We all took the time
to visit friends and family we haven't seen in along time.
The kids went to Campbell and met up with my family at
El Burro's for lunch. They were celebrating Aunt Louise's
birthday. Unfortunately Mark and I already had plans when
we found out. I'm glad the kids were able to see everyone.
Mark and I went wine tasting with the corvette club. We
had a good time. This past Saturday I went down to San Jose
to visit Danielle. She invited me to go to a Friends party.
I had a great time. It was real nice to see John and Doug. I
haven't seen or talked to them in so long. I really enjoyed
catching up with Danielle. She's such a sweetheart!
Last week Mark was irritated with work so we went to
Santa Cruz for the day. We called Rob to say hi and tell
him we were in town. Rob and Dusty invited us over for
dinner. What a great time. The girls are so big and cute as
can be. They were funny. When we showed up they walked past
us looking for Emily. She was with my parents. Seeing the girls
really made our day... Rob and Dusty too but those girls have
the cutest personalities. They really liked Cameron. When we
sat down for dinner they made sure he was sitting in between
the two of them. Got to love it! Mind you they are 4 and 5
years old. too sweet!

I am on a mission this year to get back to the simple life.
Making a point of seeing and keeping in touch with good
friends and family. I'm just tired of the superficial friendships
that go on these day's. I have such great friends that have been
in my life since junior high and high school. I think because we
all live so far away we just got caught up in life and didn't
make it a priority. I know kids are a big factor but now that
Cameron and Emily are teenagers we have a better schedule. So
watch out here we come. I will be calling or writing you more
often. Hopefully your schedule will allow us to visit more this
year!
